Ingredients

  • 4 lices whole-grain bread
  • 4 ounces mozzarella cheese sliced, fresh
  • 1 tomato sliced, large, ripe
  • 1/4 cup basil fresh leaves
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic glaze
  • 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
  • salt to taste
  • black pepper to taste

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Toast the bread slices until they are golden and crisp to your liking.
  2. Layer the mozzarella slices evenly over 2 slices of the toasted bread.
  3. Place tomato slices on top of the mozzarella. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Add fresh basil leaves over the tomatoes.
  5. Drizzle balsamic glaze and olive oil over the basil.
  6. Top with the remaining slices of toasted bread, press gently, and cut the sandwiches in half.
