Ingredients
- 8 ounce cream cheese , softened
- ½ cup sugar
- ½ teaspoon vanilla or almond extract
- ½ teaspoon coarse kosher salt
- 1 ½ cups thick caramel sauce
- ½ cup Toffee bits
- ¼ cup pecans or walnuts chopped and toasted , optional
- ¼ cup mini chocolate chips , optional
- Apple slices
Instructions
- In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment or a large mixing bowl with an electric hand mixer, blend the cream cheese until smooth.
- Add the sugar, vanilla or almond extract and salt, blending until mixed.
- Spread the caramel apple mixture into a small casserole dish.
- Top with the caramel sauce and toffee bits. Add the nuts and chocolate chips if desired.
- Cover and chill until ready to serve. Serve with the apple slices.
