Ingredients
- 9 yellow onions (3 pound bag)
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
Instructions
- Slice the onions in half, remove the root, then slice into 1/4 inch thick slices.
- Add the onions, butter, oil and salt to a Dutch oven and cook over medium-low heat for 30-35 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes until the onions are golden brown.
