Ingredients
- ½ ½ cup gf oatmeal, old fashioned rolled oats preferably just rolled, not cut (50 gr)
- ¼ ¼ apples
- 1 1 cup water
- 3 3 dates
- ½ ½ cup carrots grated (50 gr)
- extra extra cinnamon
- ¾ ¾ apples
- 1 1 tbsp maple syrup
- 1 1 tbsp maple syrup
- 1 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 1 tsp Bourbon vanilla powder or extract or paste
- celtic sea salt to taste
Instructions
- Combine the carrots, oats and water and bring to a soft boil.
- If you like the carrots a quite softtened let it simmer for 15 minutes with the lid on. Otherwise just cook until the oats and water form a porridge. That will take about 5 minutes.
- Add the maple syrup, cinnamon, vanille and salt (if you use that).
- Turn the heat low. Wash the apple and cut about half or three quarter in small pieces. Add to the porridge en stir.
- Cut the rest of the apple in bigger chunks. Cut the dates in pieces.
- Poor the porridge into a bowl. Top with the apple chunks and dates. Sprinkle some extra cinnamon on top. Add an extra tablespoon of maple syrup on top.
