Ingredients
- 1 can garbanzo beans
- 2 tbsp Tahini
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp cumin
- salt to taste
- 2 lbs carrots
Instructions
For the Hummus
- If you are using a food processor to make your hummus, dump all of the ingredients into the bowl and include about ¼ of the liquid that was in the can with the chickpeas. Blitz the ingredients until smooth.
- If you need to make the hummus by hand, drain all of the liquid away from the chickpeas and dump them into a bowl. Using the back of a fork, mash the chickpeas into a paste. Add the remainder of the ingredients and continue mashing until as smooth as you can get it.
- Wash and peel the carrots and store in water in a container and place into the fridge.
- This recipe makes 5 servings. That will be roughly 2-3 carrots and 80g of hummus.
