Cast Iron Meatballs
Healthy Whole30 meatball recipe that you can make in a cast iron skillet.

Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup bread crumbs
- 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Optional: 24oz jar of marinara sauce
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350F and add olive oil to a 10" cast iron skillet
- In a large mixing bowl combine ground beef, egg, bread crumbs, parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, garlic powder, oregano, and crushed red pepper
- Mix until evenly combined and roll into 12 even balls - each ball will be a little over 2 tbsp worth
- Heat oil in cast iron skillet over medium heat
- When oil is hot, add the meat balls to the pan to cook
- Continue cooking for about 6 minutes rotating occassionally until meatballs are browned on all sides
- Place the cast iron skillet in the oven at 350F and bake for 12 minutes
- Enjoy without sauce or add a jar of marinara directly to the skillet with the meatballs and warm on the stove at medium-low heat for 5 minutes
