Charred Broccoli
Charred broccoli is a great way to get your family to eat broccoli! Lightly charred in the oven, tender-crisp florets are tossed in parmesan cheese and a squeeze of lemon juice.

Ingredients
- 2 large heads of broccoli (about 1 kg/2 lbs)
- 2½ tablespoon olive oil
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 2 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoon slivered almonds
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 180c / 350f (fan forced).
- Cut broccoli into florets.
- Place broccoli into a bowl and gradually drizzle over olive oil and salt, tossing to coat as you go.
- Tip florets onto a rimmed baking sheet (you may need 2) and spread out into a single layer.
- Bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until broccoli is cooked through, but still has a bite and is charred on the edges.
- Toss quickly in lemon juice, then transfer to your serving platter and sprinkle over parmesan and slivered almonds. Serve warm.
