Cheerio Bars Recipe

No-Bake Cheerio Bars are an easy and versatile dessert everyone loves! Grab a box of cheerios and your favorite candies to make a tray full of sweet cereal bars no one can resist.

Ingredients

  • 16 ounce bag mini marshmallows divided
  • 6 Tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 6 cups Honey Nut Cheerios
  • ½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • ½ cup candies M&M’s, heath, etc.
  • ½ cup white chocolate melting wafers

Instructions

  1. Spray a 9×13 inch pan with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. In a large bowl, combine all but 1 cup of the marshmallows and the butter. Place in the microwave and melt for 2 minutes. Stir till smooth. Melt an additional 2 minutes if needed, cooking by 30 second increments.
  3. When the marshmallows are melted and smooth, add the cheerios and remaining 1 cup of marshmallows and stir until completely coated.
  4. Butter your hands and press gently in the pan. and top with chocolate chips and candy.
  5. Melt the candy wafers in a small bowl in the microwave for 30 seconds. Stir till smooth. You may need to melt for another 30 seconds. Drizzle melted white chocolate over the bars.
  6. Allow to set for one hour, slice into bars and serve.

Notes

  • Store in airtight container at room temperature for up to one week.
  • Swap out cheerios for any flavor (Froot Loops are also delicious).
  • Substitute your favorite toppings...chocolate chips and candies could be butterscotch, white chocolate chips, peanut butter morsels, etc.
