Cheese Breadsticks (Grocery Store Bakery Copycat)

These baked Cheese Breadsticks are similar to the ones you'll find in grocery store bakery departments. They feature soft and light bread dough studded with cheddar cheese.

Ingredients

  • 1 batch Bakery-Style Hot Dog Buns dough
  • 100 g grated/shredded cheddar cheese
  • water in spray bottle for spritzing the dough

Instructions

  1. Make a batch of Bakery-Style Hot Dog Buns dough.
  2. Once risen, divide the dough into 8 equal pieces, about 80g each.
  3. Roll a piece of dough into a log about 10" in length.
  4. Place the dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Repeat with the remainder.
  6. Using a spray bottle filled with clean water, lightly spray the tops of the dough with water.
  7. Sprinkle the grated/shredded cheddar cheese over top of the dough.
  8. Bake at 375°F/191°C for 14-15 minutes, until cheese is melted and crisp.
  9. If the breadsticks are not golden enough, increase to 400°F/204°C for 1-2 minutes.
