Cheese Grits

Creamy and comforting cheese grits are a classic Southern dish. The slow-cooked cornmeal creates a deliciously smooth texture with a rich cheesy flavor that you will want to eat all day long!

Ingredients

  • 6 cups water or Milk
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 cups Uncooked Grits
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 1/2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/3 cup grated parmesan
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Bring a large pot with the water and salt to a boil.
  2. Add the grits in and stir. Reduce the heat to low and cover the pot with a lid stirring periodically for 5-6 minutes.
  3. Stir in the butter, cheddar cheese, and parmesan cheese until it's melted and combined. Serve warm!
