Ingredients

  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 (12-ounce) pale beer room-temperature, can
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 ½ cups cheddar cheese shredded sharp
  • 2 tablespoons butter for brushing, melted

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and spray a 12-cup muffin tin with non-stick cooking spray.
  2. In a large bowl whisk the 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour, 1 tablespoon baking powder, 1 teaspoon salt, and 1 teaspoon garlic powder.
  3. Mix in the 1 (12-ounce) can room-temperature pale beer, ¼ cup melted unsalted butter, and 1 ½ cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese until the batter just comes together.
  4. Evenly distribute the batter into the muffin tin, and bake the muffins for 30-40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean and the muffins are golden on top.
  5. Brush the baked muffins with 2 tablespoons melted butter, and let them cool for a few minutes before serving.
