Ingredients

  • 4 cups fresh or frozen green beans trimmed
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 small onion diced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 can 10.5 oz cream of mushroom soup
  • ½ cup milk
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce 
  • 1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup crispy fried onions

  1. Step 1: Preheat Oven – Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. Step 2: Cook Green Beans – Boil or steam green beans for 3-5 minutes until tender-crisp, then drain.
  3. Step 3: Make the Sauce – In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Cook onion and garlic until softened. Stir in mushroom soup, milk, salt, pepper, onion powder, and Worcestershire sauce.
  4. Step 4: Mix & Assemble – Combine green beans with the sauce and half the cheddar cheese. Transfer to the baking dish and top with remaining cheese and crispy fried onions.
  5. Step 5: Bake – Bake for 20-25 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
