Cheesy Pull Apart Garlic Bread

Ingredients

  • 4 store bought kaiser rolls found in the bakery section
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 large large clove garlic grated
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning*
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder not to be confused with garlic salt!
  • 1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Mozzarella cheese

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Place kaiser rolls onto a sheet tray lined with foil. Cut 1 inch sections 3/4 of the way down into the rolls one way and then more slits perpendicular the other way.
  2. Melt butter with garlic and seasonings in the microwave and brush tops of rolls liberally. Sprinkle with cheese, being sure to get some into the cracks and crevices. Bake 4-5 minutes or until cheese has melted and bread it hot. Cool a few minutes before serving, especially to kids! Or impatient husbands.....cough cough Gordon.
  3. *if you do not have italian seasoning, use 1/4 teaspoon oregano, 1/4 teaspoon basil, 1/4 teaspoon parsley flakes and 1/4 teaspoon thyme
