Chick-fil-A Cole Slaw
Chick-fil-A Cole Slaw combines shredded cabbage and carrots with a dressing of mayonnaise, white vinegar, sugar, dry mustard powder, and kosher salt. After mixing, the slaw is chilled for at least two hours or overnight, allowing the cabbage to soften slightly and the flavors to meld, resulting in a creamy, tangy salad with a smooth texture.
Ingredients
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 4 teaspoons white vinegar
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- ¼ teaspoon mustard powder dry
- ¼ teaspoon kosher salt
- 2 bags cole slaw mix 14 ounce each, shredded
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the mayo, vinegar, sugar, dry mustard, and salt until smooth.
- Add in shredded cole slaw mix and fold over with spatula until completely coated. Cover and refrigerate 2 hours, or overnight.
- Serve and enjoy!
Notes
- The dressing can be made a few days ahead and stored separately before combining with the cabbage and carrots.
- Refrigerate the assembled coleslaw for at least two hours to soften the cabbage and blend the flavors well before serving.
- For a lighter version, substitute half of the mayonnaise with plain Greek yogurt.
- Chopping the cabbage and carrots into smaller pieces will create a finer texture, similar to some fast-food styles.
- This slaw pairs well with Hawaiian Kalua pork and other barbecued meats.
