Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken breast cut into bite-sized pieces, boneless skinless
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 red bell pepper sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper sliced
  • 1 yellow bell pepper sliced
  • 1 onion sliced, medium
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup water
  • salt to taste
  • black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add garlic and onion, and sauté until fragrant and translucent.
  2. Add the chicken pieces to the skillet, season with salt and pepper, and cook until they are golden and cooked through.
  3. Toss in the bell peppers and stir-fry for about 3 to 4 minutes or until they are just tender but still crisp.
  4. Whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, and water in a small bowl. Pour this mixture over the chicken and vegetables in the skillet.
  5. Stir everything together and cook for an additional 2 to 3 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened and everything is well coated. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper if necessary.
