Chicken Tender Subs

Make the popular "pub sub" at home! No need to wait in line at Publix when you can make your own chicken tender subs stuffed with crispy chopped chicken tenders, creamy mayo, melty cheese, and crisp veggies.

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf French bread
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 6 chicken tenders hot or cold (see note)
  • 1½ cups shredded lettuce
  • 3 lices Provolone cheese
  • ½ tomato sliced
  • ½ teaspoon oregano
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cut the French bread loaf in half. Remove the fluffy middle of the loaf. Spread mayonnaise over the inside top and bottom of the loaf.
  2. Chop the chicken tenders into bite sized pieces. Pile the chicken in the bottom part of the french bread loaf. Top with shredded lettuce, provolone cheese, and tomato. Season with oregano, salt, and pepper.
  3. Cut the chicken tender sub in four pieces and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Chicken Tenders
  • This recipe is great for leftover chicken tenders. You can also make it with homemade chicken tenders, chicken tenders with no breading, or frozen chicken tenders that have been cooked.
  • This recipe works with both hot and cold chicken tenders. Prepare the subs based on preference.
  • Substitutions:
