Chili Lime Dressing

Ingredients

  • ½ cup sour cream
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 3 tablespoons lime juice fresh-squeezed
  • 2 teaspoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper optional – for spice

Instructions

  1. Add the sour cream, mayonnaise, lime juice, chili powder, salt, and pepper to a medium bowl, and stir to combine. Optionally add cayenne pepper for heat.
  2. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 10 days.

Notes

  • Let the dressing sit in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving. This isn’t required, but I can tell you from experience, the flavor of the dressing develops more and more as it sits in the refrigerator for the first 30 minutes to 2 hours.
  • I do not recommend freezing the dressing because it’s dairy-based and the texture won’t be the same after it’s defrosted.
