Chimichurri Chicken
This delicious Chimichurri Chicken features juicy pan-seared chicken smothered in a gorgeous vibrant green sauce made with spices, fresh herbs and tangy vinegar.
Ingredients
- 4 chicken breast
- 1 chimichurri sauce
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper ground
Instructions
- Prepare your batch of Chimichurri Sauce and leave at room temperature, while you prepare the chicken.
- Sprinkle the salt, pepper and smoked paprika on both sides of each chicken breast. Take about ¼ of the chimichurri sauce and brush it over both sides of the chicken to act as a marinade.
- Allow the chicken to marinate for 20 minutes at room temperature.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, add in the olive oil and once heated, add in the chicken. Cook for 5-7 minutes on each side or until the internal temperature reaches at least 165°F when checked with a meat thermometer.
- Top each piece with a generous serving of the chimichurri sauce and add the rest to a small bowl on the side for easy dipping.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 2-3 days.
Notes
- Alternatively you can grill the chicken instead of sautéing it. As the chicken is marinating you can heat up your grill and once cooked through, top with the sauce and serve.
