Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil
  • 5 cloves garlic , minced
  • 2 pounds Chinese broccoli , about 4 cups
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon coarse ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon white sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Add the vegetable oil and sesame oil to a large heavy skillet, that you have a lid for, on medium heat.
  2. Add in the garlic, stir, and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Add in the chicken broth and Chinese Broccoli; cover and steam for 3 minutes.
  4. Remove the cover, continue to stir and cook for 3 minutes until softened.
  5. Remove the pan from heat and season broccoli with salt and black pepper.
  6. Add in the soy sauce and sesame seeds, stir and serve.
