Chocolate Brownie Cheesecake

Brownie Cheesecake made with a rich chocolate brownie crust, cheesecake middle and swirled brownie layer on top, filled with chocolate chips!

Ingredients

Brownie Batter
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter , melted
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Cheesecake Layer
  • 16 ounces cream cheese , room temperature
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees and spray a 9" springform pan with baking spray.
  2. To your stand mixer add the melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  3. On low speed add in the cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder then add in the chocolate chips.
  4. Add half of the brownie batter to the springform pan.
  5. Bake for 15 minutes then let cool completely.
  6. In a second bowl whisk together the cream cheese, eggs, sugar and vanilla until smooth.
  7. Gently spread the cream cheese mixture over the brownie layer then spoon the remaining brownie batter over the cream cheese and swirl with a knife gently.
  8. Bake for 40 minutes.
  9. Let cool completely before refrigerating until completely chilled.
