Chocolate Covered Almonds
Chocolate Covered Almonds are toasted almonds coated in melted semisweet chocolate, sprinkled with flaky sea salt to enhance the contrasting flavors. Chilled until the chocolate hardens, they become a crisp, sweet, and salty snack bite that highlights the crunchy nut and smooth chocolate layer.
Ingredients
- 8 ounces almonds
- 6 ounces semisweet chocolate disks
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt flaky
Instructions
- Melt the chocolate in a microwave safe bowl in 30 second increments.
- Dip the 4 almonds at a time with a slotted spoon, scrape most of the chocolate off the bottom of them and place onto parchment paper to harden and sprinkle sea salt over the top and allow the almonds to fully in the refrigerator.
Notes
- Use short microwave intervals when melting chocolate to prevent burning; stir between bursts.
- Dip almonds in small batches for even coating and easier handling.
- Sprinkle flaky sea salt while chocolate is wet to ensure it adheres well.
- Chill dipped almonds in the refrigerator until chocolate is fully hardened before serving or storing.
