Chocolate Covered Ghost Strawberries For Halloween
These cute strawberry ghosts are the perfect addition to any Halloween party. They're easy to make and fun to eat!
Ingredients
- 400 g strawberry 14oz, fresh
- 250 g white candy melts 8.8oz, Natural Deco Melts brand
- 50 g milk chocolate 1.7oz or ⅓ cup chocolate chips, or dark chocolate
Instructions
- Line a large tray with baking paper.
- Wash the strawberries then pat them dry with kitchen roll.
- Melt the Deco Melts in a heat-proof bowl in the microwave, stirring them every 30 seconds or so to prevent seizing.
- Dip the strawberries into the Deco Melts then transfer to your lined tray, letting the excess spread out in front to create ghost 'tails'. (see images or video if you're unsure)
- Let the strawberries sit out at room temperature for around 45 minutes until the candy coating has fully hardened.
- Melt the milk/dark chocolate then transfer it to a piping bag. Cut a very small piece of the tip off then pipe two eyes and a mouth onto each ghost strawberry.
- Leave the strawberries out at room temperature again until the chocolate has set, then enjoy!
Notes
- Best enjoyed fresh, on the same day that you make them.
