Chocolate Gravy
Chocolate Gravy is a rich, creamy topping perfect for drizzling over buttermilk biscuits or ice cream for the ultimate sweet treat.
Ingredients
- 1 cup milk whole
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder unsweetened
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1 tablespoon butter unsalted
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Instructions
- Add milk, heavy cream, sugar, cocoa powder, and flour to a medium saucepan.
- Whisk well until flour and cocoa powder are fully mixed in.
- Turn the stove to medium heat, bring to a simmer.
- Keep stirring and cook for 6-7 minutes until thickened to a gravy consistency.
- Turn off heat, add in butter and vanilla extract.
- Whisk well until smooth and use over buttermilk biscuits or ice cream.
