  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 3 tablespoon flour
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 5/8 cup coffee
  • 1 tablespoon chocolate chips

  1. Put the butter in a microwave-safe coffee mug and melt the butter in the microwave for 30 seconds. Stir until it is completely melted.
  2. Once it is melted, stir in the sugar.
  3. Add the flour, cocoa powder, and baking powder to the mug. Stir to mix well.
  4. Pour in the coffee into the cup and stir until no lumps remain. Then add the chocolate chips.
  5. Microwave for about 90 seconds until the top looks cooked and springs back when touched.
  6. Top the chocolate mug cake with whipped cream, chocolate shavings, raspberries, or more chocolate chips.
