Chocolate Oreo Cookies

Chocolate Oreo Cookies mix traditional cookie dough ingredients with cocoa powder and chopped Oreo cookies, creating a rich, chocolatey cookie that’s enhanced with semisweet chocolate chips for extra texture and flavor. Chilling the dough before baking helps maintain shape, resulting in cookies that have set edges and soft centers. This recipe balances familiar chocolate and Oreo flavors in a chewy cookie format.

Notes

  • Use room temperature butter that is soft without being melted to prevent cookies from spreading too much.
  • Measure flour by sifting or stirring first, then lightly spooning into the cup and leveling to avoid overpacking.
  • Experiment with different Oreo varieties or types of chocolate chips to customize flavor and texture.
  • Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet before transferring to a rack so they set properly and don’t fall apart.
