Chocolate Peanut Butter Protein Smoothie
This high protein breakfast smoothie is made with creamy, natural peanut butter and plenty of rich cocoa.
Ingredients
- ½ ripe banana
- ¼ cup chocolate protein powder such as Bob’s Red Mill
- 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
- 1 tablespoon peanut butter natural
- 1 tablespoon flax seed meal
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- ½ teaspoon nutmeg
- ice to taste
Instructions
- Place the first 7 ingredients (banana through nutmeg) in blender along with 1/2 cup water. Puree until smooth. Add ice to taste and puree until smooth before serving.
Notes
- This can be made with almond butter or peanut butter. Similarly I like to use different protein powders including vanilla!
