Chocolate Peanut Butter Protein Smoothie

This high protein breakfast smoothie is made with creamy, natural peanut butter and plenty of rich cocoa.

Ingredients

  • ½ ripe banana
  • ¼ cup chocolate protein protein (such as Bob’s Red Mill)
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon natural peanut butter
  • 1 tablespoon flax seed meal
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • ½ teaspoon nutmeg
  • Ice to taste

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Place the first 7 ingredients (banana through nutmeg) in blender along with 1/2 cup water. Puree until smooth. Add ice to taste and puree until smooth before serving. 

Notes

  • This can be made with almond butter or peanut butter. Similarly I like to use different protein powders including vanilla!
