Chocolate Syrup Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa
  • ½ cup cold water
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Whisk together the sugar and cocoa in a medium pot until all lumps are gone.
  2. Add water and butter and turn to medium heat. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat. Bring to a simmer, stirring constantly for about 1 minute.
  3. Remove from heat and add vanilla once the mixture is cooled. Stir until combined, place in a glass jar, and refrigerate. Reheat when ready to serve.
