Chocolate Whipped Cream Recipe

Quick & easy homemade chocolate whipped cream takes minutes, only needs 4 ingredients and is perfect for frosting cakes, cupcakes or on hot chocolate!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream cold
  • 3 tablespoons dark cocoa powder
  • ¼ cup powdered sugar
  • 1/8 teaspoon fine sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla, almond, coffee or rum extract , optional

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the heavy cream, sugar, and rum extract. Sift in the powdered sugar. Use a spatula to combine everything.
  2. Once all the wet and dry ingredients are combined, use a hand mixer to whip the cream. Continue whipping until soft peaks form, for about 3-4 minutes. Stop mixing as soon as it reaches soft peaks, as it can quickly become lumpy.
  3. Chill the whipped cream until ready to use or place in a piping bag and use immediately.
