Chokladboll, plural chokladbollar, also called havreboll, kokosboll, and negerboll, is a chocolate and coconut dumpling native to Sweden, similar to the Israeli kadur shokolad (כדור שוקולד), Danish romkugle, and the Brazilian brigadeiro.

Ingredients
INGREDIENTS (for 25 chokladbollar)
- 3 cups oatmeal
- ½ cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon vanilla sugar
- 3 tablespoons cocoa powder (unsweetened)
- ½ cup butter (softened)
- 2 tablespoons strong coffee (cold)
- grated coconut
Instructions
INSTRUCTIONS
- Combine all the dry ingredients in a bowl.
- Add the softened butter and mix with the fingertips to obtain a crumbly dough.
- Add the coffee and mix so that the dough comes together.
- Divide the dough into 25 pieces and roll them up.
- Roll each ball in the grated coconut.

Notes
- NOTES This is the basic traditional recipe for chokladbollar. Depending on taste, here are a few other popular options: Flavor the dough with a few drops of peppermint oil and roll each ball in polenta. Stir almond powder into the dough and roll each ball in almond powder for a more bitter taste. Add liqueur to the dough: orange liqueur, raspberry liqueur or coconut liqueur. Roast the coconut in which the chokladbollar are rolled. Add whiskey and/or licorice bits to the batter.
