Choriqueso Recipe
A rich and savory Mexican dip featuring melted cheese and flavorful chorizo, perfect for any occasion!
Ingredients
- 1 cup chorizo sausage crumbled
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 2 cups Monterey jack cheese shredded
- 2 tablespoons cilantro chopped, fresh
- tortilla chip for serving, or warm tortillas
Instructions
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the chorizo until fully browned and no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes. Drain the chorizo on paper towels to remove excess oil.
- Pour heavy cream into the same skillet and reduce heat to low. Gradually add the shredded cheese, stirring constantly until the cheese is completely melted and smooth, approximately 2-5 minutes.
- Remove the skillet from heat, add the cooked chorizo back into the cheese mixture, and stir to combine. Sprinkle with chopped cilantro and serve the choriqueso warm with tortilla chips or warm tortillas.
