Christmas Crack Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 leeve saltine crackers (about 40 crackers)
  • 1 cup unsalted butter (2 sticks)
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 cups chocolate chips
  • Seasonal sprinkles optional

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F. Spray an XL baking sheet with nonstick cooking spray. Set aside.
  2. Line the baking sheet completely with saltine crackers.
  3. Place the butter and sugar in a medium saucepan set over med-low heat. Stir occasionally until the butter has melted.
  4. Increase the heat to med-high and bring to a boil. Stir continuously for approximately 2 minutes until it starts to thicken.
  5. Pour the hot mixture over the crackers on the baking sheet. Spread the mixture around all crackers with a knife.
  6. Bake for 8-10 minutes.
  7. Remove pan from oven and sprinkle chocolate chips over crackers.
  8. Place back in the oven for 2 minutes to soften chocolate chips.
  9. Spread chocolate over crackers with a knife.
  10. Add sprinkles to make more festive, if desired. Place in the freezer for 20 minutes to chill.
  11. Break off pieces and enjoy!

  • Storage: Store Christmas crack in an airtight container at room temperature for 7-10 days.
