Cinnamon Apple Oatmeal

Ingredients

  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup quick oats
  • 1 apple peeled and diced
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ¼ cup milk of choice

Instructions

  1. Place the apples and maple syrup into a small saucepan.
  2. Place it over medium heat cook until apples have started to soften, occasionally stirring to ensure they don’t burn.
  3. Remove half the apples from the pan and set those aside to top the oatmeal later.
  4. Pour the water into the pot and bring to a boil.
  5. Add the oats, and cinnamon back into the pan. Cook for about 3 minutes, stir then cover and remove from the heat. Let sit covered about 10 minutes.
  6. Top them with the maple apples, some milk, and more syrup. Enjoy!
