Cinnamon Cider Whiskey Sour

Everything I love about fall is in one little cocktail right here! If you love whiskey, this cinnamon spiced cider and splash of maple makes a sour so good!

Ingredients

cinnamon simmered cider
  • ½ cup apple cider
  • 3 cinnamon sticks
whiskey sour
  • 1 ounce cider simmered with cinnamon sticks
  • 1 ounce whiskey
  • ½ ounce lemon juice
  • splash maple syrup
  • apple slices for garnish
  • cinnamon sticks for garnish

Instructions

  1. To make the cinnamon cider, heat the cider and cinnamon sticks in a small saucepan over medium heat until just simmering. Turn off the heat and let the mixture cool completely. You can store the cider in the fridge like this for a few days!
  2. To make the whiskey sour, combine the cider, whiskey, lemon juice and maple syrup in a shaker glass with ice. Shake for 30 seconds then pour over ice and serve. Garnish with apple slices or cinnamon sticks.
