Cinnamon Twists

hese homemade Cinnamon Twists are really easy to make and taste delicious! Flaky pastry and sweet cinnamon sugar - what's not to love! You can customize them by adding raisins or even dried cranberries for the holidays.

Ingredients

  • 13 oz (375g) sheet of puff pastry
  • 2 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1 ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoon butter melted (divided), or vegan butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 tablespoon dried cranberries
  • 1 tablespoon powdered icing sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350F / 175C. Line a baking sheet with baking paper.
  2. Allow the pastry to thaw slightly, then unroll, but leave it on its baking paper.
  3. Mix the sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl.
  4. Stir the vanilla into the melted butter, then brush half of it over the pastry.
  5. Sprinkle with the cinnamon sugar.
  6. Evenly sprinkle with the dried cranberries over half of the pastry.
  7. Fold the dough in half and press down gently.
  8. Cut strips about 1" wide along the shorter size. Twist each strip, then place onto the baking sheet. Brush with the remaining melted butter.
  9. Bake for 12 minutes or until golden.
  10. Allow to cool on a wire rack.
  11. If desired, sift the icing sugar over the cooled cinnamon twists.
