Classic Rum Runner Cocktail Drink

How to make the classic rum runner cocktail, made with two different types of rum, blackberry liqueur and banana liqueur and fruit juices. The best cocktail for rum lovers!

Ingredients

  • 1 ounce blackberry liqueur or raspberry Chambord
  • 1 ounce Banana Liqueur
  • 1 ounce light rum
  • 1 ounce dark rum
  • 1 ounce pineapple juice
  • 1 ounce orange juice
  • maraschino cherry and orange wheel for garnish
  • Ice cubes

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Add all of the drink ingredients to a shaker and fill with ice.
  2. Place the lid on top and shake until the outside of the shaker is ice cold and frosty to the touch.
  3. Place fresh ice into a large tumbler.
  4. Strain the drink into the glass.
  5. Garnish with the maraschino cherry and orange wheel.

Notes

  • You can make this blended or over ice:
  • Blended: Combine the ingredients in their quantities specified in the recipe card below into a blender with ice and blend until smooth. Pour into a hurricane or pilsner style glass (if you have one, if not.. any other glass will work) and garnish with an orange slice, pineapple slice and / or a cherry.
  • Over Ice: Combine the ingredients in their quantities specified in the recipe card below into a Boston shaker with ice and shake until cold to the touch. Strain over ice into a hurricane or pilsner style glass (if you have one, if not.. any other glass will work) and garnish with an orange slice, pineapple slice and / or a cherry.
