Coconut Flour Pie Crust
Gluten free pie crust made with coconut flour. This easy recipe can be used for sweet or savory pies.
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup coconut flour
- 2 tablespoons coconut palm sugar organic; or sugar alternative
- 1/8 teaspoon kosher salt
- 2 egg room temperature, large
- 3 tablespoons coconut oil
- vanilla extract 1 1/2 teaspoons
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease 8-9 inch pie plate and set aside.
- In a medium bowl whisk together coconut flour, coconut sugar and salt
- In a small bowl beat the eggs, coconut oil and vanilla together. Fold into dry ingredients and mix until dough forms and all ingredients hold together.
- Press into prepared pie plate and gently pierce the pie crust with a fork.
- Bake for 10 minutes or until set.
- Cool and fill with pie filling.
Notes
- This dough is soft. Pat into the lightly greased pie plate.
- Don't add sweetener for savory crust.
