Coke Float (Ice Cream Float)

The Ice Cream Float is a classic American drink that takes us right back to the fifties. You won’t believe how easy it is to make your very own coke float at home, with just a few simple ingredients! During the summertime, there’s nothing better than a cold, creamy treat to keep you cool.

Ingredients

  • 1 vanilla ice cream scoop
  • 1 ½ cups cola 1 can (or other soda, see note)
  • Whipped Cream optional

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Scoop the ice cream into a tall glass.
  2. Pour the soda on top until the level nears the top of the glass.
  3. Top with optional whipped cream.
  4. Add a long handle spoon and straw. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Place the glass in the freezer for up to 30 minutes before use to help keep the ingredients cold.
  • Lighter option: You can use diet soda as well as sugar-free or reduced fat ice cream in this recipe.
