Ingredients
- 8 hot dog buns
- 8 hot dogs
- 4 tomatoes
- 1 tablespoon (15 milliliters) vegetable oil
- salt to taste
- 4 avocados
- 1/2 cup (120 grams) mayonnaise
Instructions
- Toast the hot dog buns or heat in a 350˚F (180˚C) oven until crisp and lightly golden.
- Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add the hot dogs, reduce heat to a simmer and cook until heated through, about 5 minutes.
- Drain and set aside.
- Finely dice the tomatoes and place in a medium bowl. Add the vegetable oil and a large pinch of salt to taste. Toss to evenly coat.
- In another bowl, peel the avocados, discard the pits, and mash with another large pinch of salt.
- Place the cooked hot dogs in the toasted buns and top with the diced tomatoes.
- Spread the mashed avocado over the tomato-covered hot dogs, then drizzle with mayonnaise.
- Serve immediately.
