Ingredients

For Basic Cookie Dough Mix
  • 8 cups flour
  • 2 ½ cups sugar
  • 2 cups brown sugar firmly packed
  • 4 teaspoons salt
  • 1 ½ teaspoons baking soda
  • 3 cups vegetable shortening
For Chocolate Chip Cookies
  • 3 cups cookie mix
  • 1 egg
  • 3 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 ½ cups chocolate chips
For Peanut Butter Cookies
  • 3 cups cookie mix
  • 2 egg
  • ½ cup peanut butter chunky
  • ¼ cup brown sugar firmly packed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
For Snickerdoodles
  • 2 1/2 cups cookie mix
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
For Banana Coconut Cookies
  • 2 cups cookie mix
  • 1 cup sweetened coconut flakes
  • 1 medium banana mashed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 egg beaten
  • ½ cup pecans chopped
  • ½ cup rolled oats

Instructions

Basic Cookie Mix
    Cup of Yum
  1. Combine flour, sugar, brown sugar, salt, and baking soda. Stir until well mixed.
  2. Using a pastry cutter, a fork, or your hands, add in shortening until well-combined and crumbly.
For Chocolate Chip Cookies
  1. Combine cookie mix, milk, vanilla, and egg. Stir until well combined. Fold in chocolate chips.
  2. Roll dough into balls and place evenly on a greased baking sheet. Bake at 375 for 9 minutes, or until lightly browned. Makes 24 cookies
For Peanut Butter Cookies
  1. Combine cookie mix, brown sugar, vanilla, eggs, and peanut butter. Stir until well combined.
  2. Shape dough into 1 inch balls and roll in sugar. Place evenly on a greased baking sheet. Use a fork to flatten the dough balls making a criss cross pattern.
  3. Bake on a greased baking sheet at 375 for 9 minutes, or until lightly browned. Makes 24 cookies.
For Snickerdoodles
  1. Combine cookie mix, egg, cream of tartar, and baking soda. Stir until well combined.
  2. Mix sugar and cinnamon together in a small dish. Shape dough into 1 1/2 inch balls. Roll dough balls in cinnamon sugar mixture and place evenly on a greased baking sheet.
  3. Bake at 400 for 8-10 minutes. Cookies should be lightly browned with cracked tops. Makes 12 cookies.
For Banana Coconut Delights
  1. Combine cookie mix, coconut, banana, vanilla, and egg. Stir until well combined. Fold in pecans and oats.
  2. Roll dough into balls and place evenly on a greased baking sheet. Bake at 375 for 9-10 minutes, or until lightly browned. Makes 24 cookies.
