Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Dice the Oreos and chocolate chip cookies. Set half of the chopped cookies aside for using as decorations.
  3. In one bowl, add salt and baking soda to flour and mix.
  4. Use an electric mixer to add brown sugar, white sugar, and softened butter and mix until creamy. Add the eggs and vanilla and combine.
  5. Gradually add the butterfly pea powder or food coloring until the desired color is reached.
  6. Slowly mix in the flour mixture.
  7. Gently mix in the chocolate chips, then fold in half of the chopped cookies.
  8. Cover a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
  9. Using a small cookie scoop, scoop out cookie dough balls. Roll into an even ball and place on the prepared cookie sheet. Leave room around each cookie to expand.
  10. Cook at 350° for 8 minutes. The cookies will have a soft center still.
  11. Gently flatten the cookies, sprinkle the remaining chopped cookie pieces on the bottom half of the cookie, then add two candy eyeballs to each cookie. Remember that Cookie Monster’s eyes are a little wonky, so place them accordingly.
  12. Let cookies rest for 5 minutes and remove to a cookie rack for further cooling.
