Copycat Chick-fil-A Peppermint Chip Milkshake
This creamy peppermint shake recreates Chick-fil-A's seasonal favorite with real peppermint bark pieces and a festive pink hue.
Ingredients
- 2 cups vanilla ice cream premium
- 1/2 cup milk whole
- 1/4 teaspoon peppermint extract
- 4 to 6 drops red food coloring
- 2 tablespoons peppermint bark Ghirardelli Dark Chocolate Peppermint Bark is highly recommended
- Whipped Cream
- 1 maraschino cherry
Instructions
- In a blender, combine the ice cream, milk, peppermint extract, and food coloring. Blend until smooth.
- Add the peppermint bark and pulse a few times until the bark is broken up.
- Pour the milkshake into a glass and top with whipped cream and a cherry.
Notes
- The quality of your vanilla ice cream makes a significant difference in this recipe. Premium ice cream with a higher fat content and real vanilla produces a thicker, richer shake that more closely resembles Chick-fil-A's version. If your peppermint bark pieces are melting too quickly in the shake, try freezing them for 30 minutes before adding them to the blender. This helps maintain distinct pieces throughout the milkshake rather than having them fully incorporate.
