Ingredients

Dough
  • water 105 to 110 degrees F, warm, 1 cup plus 2 tablespoons
  • instant yeast
  • granulated sugar 2 tablespoons
  • butter melted, salted, 3 tablespoons
  • salt
  • all-purpose flour 3 cups (about 380 grams
Topping
  • butter melted, salted, 3 tablespoons
  • sea salt 1/4 teaspoon
  • garlic powder 1/4 teaspoon

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Line two large baking sheets with parchment paper. Set aside.
Dough
  1. In the bowl of a stand mixer, mix the warm water, yeast, sugar, butter and salt with the dough hook. Slowly add the flour while the mixer is on low speed. Once all the flour is added, adjust the speed to medium and allow the dough to knead for 10 minutes.
  2. Place the dough in a large, oiled bowl and cover with a kitchen towel. Allow the dough to rise in a warm place until doubled in size; about 1 to 1 ½ hours.
  3. Once the dough has doubled, divide the dough into 12 equal pieces. Take each piece and roll into a ball then shape into a log. Gently roll it evenly into an 8-inch log. Place the logs on the prepared baking sheets spacing at least 2 inches apart. Cover with a kitchen towel and allow to rise for 30 minutes.
  4. Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
  5. Bake the breadsticks for 10 to 12 minutes or until barely golden brown. Carefully remove from oven.
Topping
  1. Mix the topping ingredients together until combined. Brush over the warm breadsticks. Serve warm and enjoy!
