Copycat Starbucks Iced Lavender Cream Oatmilk Matcha
A refreshing homemade version of Starbucks' popular matcha drink featuring creamy oatmilk, earthy matcha, and floral lavender cold foam that's ready in just 10 minutes.
Ingredients
Lavender Cold Foam
- 3 tablespoons whipping cream full fat
- 1 tablespoon milk whole
- 1 tablespoon Lavender syrup
- Food Coloring purple color
Matcha Oat Milk Tea
- 1 1/2 cups oat milk
- 2-4 tablespoons agave nectar light
- 2 teaspoons matcha powder
Instructions
- Place whipping cream, milk, and lavender syrup in a cup. Add and stir in enough purple food coloring to give it a lavender purple color. Use a frother to whip it to a whipping cream thickness. This takes 2-3 minutes. Set aside.
- Blend all matcha tea ingredients with small whisk until fully blended.
- Pour matcha tea mix over ice and top with lavender cold foam and enjoy.
Notes
- When selecting matcha powder, avoid premium ceremonial grades. The sweeteners and milk mask the subtle notes of high-end matcha. A mid-grade culinary matcha works perfectly here, saving you money without sacrificing flavor. For the most authentic Starbucks experience, use Torani or Monin lavender syrup, which provides balanced floral notes without soapy undertones.
- Matcha not dissolving? Use room temperature oatmilk first, then add ice after mixing.
- Foam disappearing too quickly? Use higher fat content cream and ensure it's very cold.
- Too sweet? Reduce the syrup by half and add more to taste.
- Flavor too intense? Add a splash of plain oatmilk to dilute.
