Ingredients

  • 40 g Coriander washed and chopped
  • 1 onion finely chopped
  • 1 green chilli chopped (adjust to taste)
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1/2 tsp cumin powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp water

Instructions

  1. In a blender or food processor, combine the fresh cilantro leaves, chopped onion, green chili, minced garlic, ground cumin, and salt.
  2. Blend the ingredients until you get a smooth paste, adding 2 tablespoons of water to help with the blending process.
  3. Scrape down the sides of the blender if needed to ensure all the ingredients are well incorporated.
  4. Transfer the chutney to a serving bowl and stir in the lemon juice.
  5. Taste and adjust the seasoning, adding more salt or lemon juice if necessary.
  6. Serve the cilantro chutney as a condiment or dipping sauce with your favorite dishes.
