Ingredients

  • 1000 grams milk
  • 250 grams sugar
  • 500 grams egg 10
  • 1 vanilla pod scraped
  • 100 grams caramel sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C and set rack to middle position.
  2. Add the milk and vanilla into a pot and bring to a boil.
  3. Combine the eggs and the sugar into a bowl and mix together using a whisk.
  4. Slowly add the hot milk to the egg mixture stirring constantly.
  5. Pour the mixture through a strainer to remove any foam.
  6. Fill the bottom of the molds with caramel sauce covering the complete bottom.
  7. Pour the custard mixture into the mold almost to the top.
  8. Bake for 30 to 40 minutes or until set at the surface.
  9. Allow creme caramel to cool completely in the refrigerator before unmolding.
  10. Enjoy!
