Cranberry Moscow Mule

Ingredients

  • 2 ounces cranberry juice *
  • 2 ounces vodka
  • 1/2 ounce lime juice , freshly-squeezed
  • 3 ounces ginger beer (I use Fever Tree)
  • Crushed or cubed ice , for filling mule mugs
  • fresh cranberries, lime wedges, and fresh herb sprigs (such as rosemary or mint) , for garnish

Instructions

  1. Fill a copper mule mug with ice.
  2. Pour in the cranberry juice, lime juice, and vodka. Top with ginger beer and gently stir the mixture.
  3. Garnish with a few fresh cranberries, a lime wedge, and a sprig of fresh mint or rosemary, as desired, for a festive presentation.

Notes

  • *Since the sweetness of this cocktail can vary by brand of ginger beer, I recommend using unsweetened pure cranberry juice, as opposed to cranberry juice cocktail. If you find that the cocktail is too tart, sweeten to taste with simple syrup (1:1 ratio of granulated sugar dissolved in hot water and cooled), added in 1/2 teaspoon increments.
