Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ cup unsalted butter
- ¾ cup orange juice
- 1 tablespoon orange zest
- 1 large egg beaten
- ½ cup chopped walnut nuts chopped
- 1 cup chopped fresh cranberries or 1/2 cup dried cranberries
Instructions
- Sift dry ingredients.
- Cut in butter until the mixture looks like coarse cornmeal.
- Combine orange juice, zest, and egg and pour into dry ingredients.
- Mix just to dampen.
- Fold in the walnuts nuts and cranberries.
- Pour into greased and floured loaf pan.
- Bake at 350 for 1 hour.
- Cool completely before slicing.
