Cranberry Whiskey Sour
The Cranberry Whiskey Sour is a cocktail combining whiskey with cranberry and orange juices, maple syrup, and egg white to create a balanced, frothy drink. The citrus zest and cranberries add fresh, bright notes, while the maple syrup provides sweetness that complements the whiskey's warmth. It is garnished elegantly with an orange peel and fresh cranberries for a seasonal presentation.
Ingredients
- 3 oz cranberry juice
- 1 oz orange juice freshly squeezed
- 2 oz whiskey
- 1 oz maple syrup
- 1 oz egg white
- 1 lice orange peel for garnish
- cranberries for garnish, fresh
Instructions
- Add cranberry juice, whiskey, egg white, maple syrup, and freshly squeezed orange juice to a cocktail shaker.
- Shake for 20-30 seconds until ingredients are well combined.
- Place a large ice cube in the cocktail glass, and pour whiskey sour over ice.
- Use a slice of the orange that was juiced and quickly line the rim of the glass ~elegant bar tender feels~ and garnish with an orange peel. For even more of a festive feel, you can also add fresh cranberries, sugared cranberries, maybe even a piece of rosemary, etc.
Notes
- Select a whiskey that is smooth but not harsh; bourbon offers complementary caramel warmth for this cocktail.
- The whiskey quality doesn't need to be premium since it is mixed with strong accompanying flavors.
