Cream Cheese Caramel Apple Dip Recipe

Ingredients
- 1 cup light brown sugar packed
- ½ cup butter
- ½ cup water
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 12 ounces cream cheese softened
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Instructions
- Set a large 6-quart sauce pot on the stove top over medium heat. Add the brown sugar, butter, water, and salt. Stir, and bring the mixture to a boil.
- Lower the heat to medium-low and allow the mixture to gently boil for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Remove from heat, and allow the caramel to cool for 5 minutes.
- Then whisk in the cream cheese and vanilla extract. Whisk vigorously until the mixture is thick and smooth, with no clumps.
- Move the caramel dip to an airtight container and chill for at least one hour. Then slice apples and serve with a side of caramel apple dip.
